Fell in love for the first time
Crashed the car on a long windy dark night
Fell apart but I put myself together
Couldn’t breath in this fucked up weather
I live at home but my dreams take me far away
Had to learn loving myself was A-Okay
Made some friends and lost some on the way
And everything is new to me
But it’s not like im a teen
Sometimes I live in a fantasy
Or somewhere in between
And everything is true to me
Sorta like a dream
Sometimes I live in a fantasy
This is just my, this is just my
Tale at 20
Okay I slept in a little late
Kinda missed my due date
Spend my free time right by the seaside
Salty tears try to get in my eyes
I skin my knee more than the average person
Still sleep with stuffed animals
Ya I’m learning
Who I wanna be
And everything is new to me
But it’s not like I’m a teen
Sometimes I live in a fantasy
Or somewhere in between
And everything is true to me
Sorta like a dream
Sometimes I live in a fantasy
This is just my, this is just my

About Tale at 20:
This song came about because I was wondering what I should title the album and started playing with different “20” titles. I wrote the song after I came up with the title. This is a good representation of definitely the first half of my year. Crashed the car on a long windy dark night is referring to one time I drove off the road and another time someone hit my car. The fires were REALLY intense this year and we couldn’t go outside when it was happening, hence the couldn’t breath line. Overall this song is about not being a teenager anymore but not feeling like I am an adult or in my twenties quite yet.
