It’s been over four hours
And my hands still smell like you
Fruits that once were sour
Are suddenly brand new
There’s a garden in my mind
And you tend to it all the time
A month ago you didn’t exist
Now you’re all that I wish
I just wanna be in our orbit
Even if it’s just for a little bit
I remind myself that all love is good love
Even if it’s not what I thought it was
What the mind don’t remember
The body holds forever
How can I take it all away
Make you feel, make you feel okay
Saturn Jupiter and Mars
Let me take you to the stars
Now I search for other ways
To lead you through my
My purple glaze
I just wanna be in our orbit
Even if it’s just for a little bit
I remind myself that all love is good love
Even if it’s not what I thought it was
About Orbit:
I wrote the lyrics for this song while I was a cashier at a grocery store in between checking people out.
My cousin Stella and I have been playing music together since we were very little and collaborated heavily on Orbit. She is a piano player and is playing on the track. We recorded the first version by putting a microphone up to an electric keyboard speaker and holding a pretty low quality mic for the vocals. However, we re-recorded the song with a midi keyboard and better microphone set up for the album!
