About

“I remind myself that all love is good love…
Even if it’s not what I thought it was.”

Orbit, Luna Spellwoman

Luna is a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her poetic and narrative style may be described as indie folk, alternative, and pop. She layers vocal harmonies with guitar, piano and saxophone. Her bold lyrics range from emotional and deeply personal, to light-hearted and funny. In 2020 as COVID-19 was raging, Luna used her time in quarantine to write and record her first album, Tale at 20. Tale at 20 weaves together stories of a young woman navigating life and online college during a global pandemic. All songs were recorded in her bedroom, on her laptop.

Luna has always been passionate about music, dance, theater and politics. At age 8 she captivated the audience at her local library with an original song, Under a Spell. She comes from a family of artists and activists. Her musical influences include Taylor Swift, Barbra Striesand, Colleen Ballinger and The Beatles. Her storytelling is open and honest, drawing inspiration from her relationships with friends, family and nature.
